So my husband and I have a bit of a dilemma. We thought we had settled on the perfect girl name for our third little one, Delaney, until we realized we were pronouncing it wrong. We thought it was Dell-uh-knee, not Deh-lane-ee, and had planned to call her Della for short. We still love our pronunciation, and thought we would just change the spelling to Delanie or Dellanie, but everyone seems to just ume this is a unique spelling of Delaney. I've only found one example of someone who said their name was Delanie, "pronounced like Melanie". I don't really want her to have a "made-up" name, but I'm just sort-of stuck on it! I love it! And I don't know what species it is! I'd really like to know more about it, because I've never seen that sort of bird of prey around this area before. We're actually pretty arid around here, especially in comparison to the rest of the state, but there's a small creek outside my workplace. I saw this bird swoop down to where I couldn't see it, and come back with a fish hooked in its talons. I would say it was of middling size- it didn't strike me as a huge bird, but it definitely wasn't small- and the only distinguishing feature I can remember is that it had a light head with darker stripes that might have been near its eyes. Why do top scientists such as Stephen Hawking say we should "colonize space"?

We don't have even near the technology, the money, and resources to do such an absurdity. So, unless there will be mive robbery by the government from the citizens and their tax-dollars, there isn't a chance that this will happen. Building colonies on the moon and mars will require more than 10 times of all of the Earth's money. Seeing as Earth-like planets are much further into space, and travel to them is impossible and will always be impossible, shouldn't we concentrate our time in making our lives better and worthwhile here on earth, and forget about space once and for all? It is a useless endeavor, and should only be studied by astronomers and astrophysicists who are being funded by private institutions (university tenured-track professors, most likely), and not my tax-dollars.

I recently got married to an amazing man. He weighs 485 pounds and is determined to lose weight now before anything bad happens to him (God forbid). He has been on a diet that I put him on, basically eliminating all white carbs and replacing them with brown carbs, and grilled fish and chicken with salads, fruits and veggies. Problem is, he has been feeling "horrible" with low energy. I dont think I have incorporated enough calories in his diet plan, since him being 485 pounds may need more than the average person. OCD Problems, Please help?

Okay, I honestly feel like I am going to go insane. I have obsessive-compulsive disorder. I was diagnosed with this disorder when I was 16. My main struggle is with order and cleanliness. I need everything dust free and lined up perfectly. I recently moved into a new apartment and I was dusting like crazy, picking up nearly imaginary specks of dust off the floor. It gets RIDICULOUS to say the least. This is the issue: I WAS getting better, until I had cleaning day ( clean bathtub, toilet, etc...) Then I get SOOOO OBSESSIVE. I used to watch my dog like a hawk, then my friend's neighbor who is a retired vetrinarian told me another way. He said to clean the mess up with paper towels and put the soiled paper towels where you want the dog to go. If she sniffs it praise her, if she goes in that spot praise her even more. It's just a "praise everything" kind of thing. It's really annoying and takes a long time but with my puppy it was very effective. Why is Youtube acting so slow?

I never have problems with Youtube, so I don't understand why its acting so slow. I watched a few videos at around noon today and it was working perfectly fine. Now its 10:42 pm (I've been watching videos for about half an hour now.) and its been going so slow and keeps buffering. I had to wait for it to load completely in order for it to play normally and that takes forever, when I can usually watch it right away. I tried watching it on my iPod touch to see if it was just my computer and it did the same thing. So does anyone know why its doing this? Are they just undergoing maintenance or something like that? How can I faux hawk my hair so it won't split down the center into horns?

I have naturally very curly thin hair and have been straightening it for a few years now. I have recently got a new job. It is a very hardworking job at a country store. I'm from the south and we make lots of plate lunches), running back and forth stocking the freezers and deli, etc... I am on my feet the whole entire time I work. I do not get a break and I do not get to sit down at all. I work around 25-30 hours a week. Since I went from doing absolutely nothing to working my off, could I possibly lose a little weight from this? I have been there for 2 weeks and my arms and legs get a little sore from sweeping, mixing large amounts of stuff, etc.. What do you think? I know its not exercise but could it help me? I also am not at home eating because I'm bored. I do not eat at all at work. Thanks!

Advice for potty training the world's most stubborn 4-year-old?

I was in this same situation with my son. I tried giving him things,taking things, being nice, i never did the cold turkey...didnt want pee on our bew carpets or couch and we didnt do the pullups because i think they are the same as diapers only more expensive and when i bought him these he said they were big boy pants..which they are not. One day i wad just so frustrated with him so i said i was going to take him to see the doc because maybe there was something wrong with him and maybe they would have to give him a big needle in his . It was Soo mean i know but the next day he was potty trained. Fully potty trained!!! Even at night. It has been about a year and he has had a hand full of accidents which i think is great. What works for some kids doesnt work for others so hang in there. Btw my doctor always saud worst thing u can do is pressure her too much. He said he never sent anyone to kindergarten in diapers. I'm 19 years old, I weigh around 135 and about 5'8". I've been doing P90X every other day in this order: Back and Biceps, Chest and Back, Shoulders and Arms, Shoulders and Chest, and I keep following that cycle (I don't really pay attention to the other workouts in the program). I am looking to build more muscle out of it. My friend is telling me i should be eating around 4500 calories a day, but I think all that's going to do is give me a gut. Everyone i know is skipping math at least 2 grades ahead of their school. Some people are taking sat coaching in 8th grade. The apartment was a one bedroom with utilities included in the rental agreement. The apartment was conveniently located on a bus line, which allowed me to attend cles with no delay. During this time, I was receiving unemployment while attending college full-time. I met with Hector Huerra, the landlord and explained my situation to him and expressed my desire to move in. Hector told me that normally, he does not give anyone who is not working an apartment, but he saw that I was genuine and honest and decided to give me a chance. After giving Hector a deposit of $220, I moved in the same day.The rental agreement was that rent was to be paid weekly at a rate of $120, or to be paid bi-weekly at a rate of $240. Seeing that my unemployment was paid weekly at an amount of $222, I chose the weekly arrangement. I also kept receipts of the money orders I used to pay the rent in their entirety. In February of 2010, my unemployment ran out and I was unable to pay my rent. When I went to Hector and told him of my situation, he told me not to worry about it, focus on my schooling and let him know what develops. Although Hector told me this, I still felt bad because he had been good to me as a landlord. Shorty after, I found a job and was able to pay on the back rent that I owed. In March of 2010, my unemployment was extended and for a few more weeks, I was able to pay rent on time. Also during this time, Hector began working on my bathroom, replacing the tub with a shower.The work that was to be completed on my bathroom was never fully accomplished. Hector only had one other person, Julio, who was isting him with maintenance duties. I notified both Hector and Julio of the sink and was told by Julio that “he would get around to coming up to my place to take a look at it.” In December of 2010, I began to notice a severe decline in the overall upkeep of the apartment. Still dealing with the bathroom and sink in the condition they were in, I still continued to pay rent. During this time I found out that Hector would be leaving to go down south so that the weather conditions would not affect his health. I explained to Hector that once again, I was let go from an ignment and that unemployment would not be guaranteed. He once again told me not to worry and that “he would not put me out because I was his favorite tenant.” I finished college and proceeded to look for employment and always let Hector know what was going on. It was also during this time I discovered that Hector’s cell phone was in Julio’s possession. Whenever I tried to contact Hector, Julio would answer and any information that I had for Hector I would ask Julio to relay it to him.In January of 2011, I was once again denied for an unemployment extension. The following month I went to my local trustee’s office to apply for rental assistance. Once I was approved, I immediately let Hector know via Julio and provided Hector the voucher in the amount of $480. Through the grace of God, I finally obtained employment and felt that I would be able to keep up with the rental payments. Air Hogs Hawk Eye problems?

Does this sound safe for a cat to live in?

I am hoping to get a cat this summer. I plan to adopt and give a deserving cat a good home, but I want to make sure before I adopt one that it will be completely safe and will have everything it needs. My mother doesn't want a cat indoors but she's completely fine with it being outdoors. In order to make it safe and comfortable I plan on building a large (20 ft x 20 ft) enclosure. It will be shielded from the elements and the cat will have a cat door to get in an out at it's own will and a larger door for me. I will put one of those play things in it, a scratching post, toys, food and water, blankets, a bed, and a litter box. I live on a four acre property and often wild animals like deer, rabbits and turkeys will venture in. We have chickens and every once in a while one will be taken by a hawk. Should this concern the safety of my future cat? I have researched heavily but in the end only another cat owners thoughts will be able to convince me if this will be safe or not. How do i start my dvd collection?

I would start off by getting additional movies that have the actor you like most. I use to do this with my huge collection and now I am getting rid of them all. It takes too much room. For example, with I am Legend I would get all movies with Will Smith. Or, I would get all movies that deal with Aircraft's like the Black Hawk. you're doing fine! unfortunately...it will take at least the first 6/7 months of a puppies life to get potty trained- just keep taking him out whenever eat eats/plays or after he wakes up from a nap. I know a friend who attached a jingly bell to her door, and started making the puppy hit it before she took it out for a pee, her dog then soon learned when he jingled the bell on his own- it was pee time. Patience is key! Sorry...but puppy training is not a quick thing, it takes time.

1 pistol shrimp, 1 small yellow watchman goby, 6 snails, 3 small hermits, 1 sea star, 1 small/medium Ocellaris Clown (this I have so far and the tank is doing good) I want to add a pepermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp, longnose hawk and/or a flame angel. This sounds a bit overstocked to me but I don't know. The Clown needs a tankmate or she will go insane she sits their staring at herself at the tank gl, and staring at the goby haha. I figure this will be ok as the shrimps will help clean up a bit more of the scraps and aiptasia and keep the large number of fish healthy.THe Flame angel should keep the clown company and make the tank much less boring. The oby just sits in his burrow all day and the clown is cool but te tank feels so empty as its the only thing swimming. Hi, I recently was sent to an ER due to an ankle sprain during a late soccer game. The ankle swelled badly at the time so I wasn't sure anything broke and all other places are closed.
