In order for something to exist, does it have a beginning and end?

Earlier I asked "Who or what created god?" and there were some interesting answers, the majority of the answers that the theists gave was simply, "God has always existed.". That is very interesting, but please explain to be how something can exist and not of had a beginning or end?
