Does my tutor care about me and my friends?

i go to college, and me and my friends think that my tutor favours us over the rest of the cl. Cause he would walk around telling the other groups off for talking and not doing their work properly, but when he comes over to our table he just looks around and says "good" then walks off. He never really shouts at us, hes always kind to us. :) but the others, i dont think he perticuly likes. lol. And today in cl we were doing these work sheets, and my tutor was teaching us. And this girl called 'melanie' is kinda rude. Because when the cl went silent, she was talking to her group of friends, then she turned around and started pointing saying "that thing there, that thing over there" and my tutor was watching her saying that, and it looked like she was pointing at me at first, but she was actually pointing at my friend "laura" and then my tutor raised his voice and said "melanie, repeat what you said again" then he said "i dont want you to say that ever again to her, its very rude! its not nice" then "melanie" said "i didnt mean it in a rude way" then my tutor said "well it seemed rude, so dont be so mean" so does my tutor care about my friend "laura" ?
