Can you customize the gear peddle on a motorcycle? (think im naming it wrong)?

For the record I'm new at buying bikes, but I ride a cruiser all the time. I have a mind set of this particular motorcycle, a sport one. The sport bike I want, I dont know I find the gear shfting pedal kind of small. So what I'm really asking is if its possible to place an order on making that pedal longer or something?
