Air Hogs Hawk Eye problems?

I received an airhogs hawk eye for christmas . On my first flight, I noticed it wouldn't turn left. I would tap the stick left, and the body would tilt a bit to the left, but not fly left. Its fine for going right, but not left. Now I'm having an annoying issue where the hawk eye will only fly for a minute before running out of battery. What is wrong?
